Meet Sabrina-Marie

Trauma-Informed Therapeutic Counsellor (MBACP)

Whether you arrive with confusion, numbness, grief, or quiet hope, it’s all welcome.

If you’ve found your way here, something within you may be quietly reaching out. A gentle ache, a quiet question, or a sense that something no longer feels quite right. Often, it begins not with certainty, but with a soft awareness that something inside is asking for care. However that feels for you, it’s valid. And it’s welcome.

My name is Sabrina-Marie, and I am a trauma-informed counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). Alongside my private practice, I work as a specialist therapist within two sexual violence support services, supporting individuals who have experienced deep and complex trauma, often rooted in early or relational wounding.

Beyond titles or roles, what matters most to me is the relationship we create — one rooted in steadiness, warmth, and respect for your unique process. I offer a space where nothing has to be fixed or performed. You don’t need to come with the right words or have everything figured out. My role isn’t to lead or advise, but to walk alongside you, holding space for what’s difficult and noticing gently what may be waiting beneath the surface.

Why Choose Counselling?

Sometimes life leaves us carrying more than we can hold alone. Counselling is not about being fixed, it’s about being accompanied. It’s about creating a space where you don’t have to perform, explain everything, or carry it all by yourself.

A place to be truly heard

Where your story is held with care, without judgement, and where all of you is welcome.

Easing stress and overwhelm

Learning how to soothe the nervous system and find breath, even when life feels too much.

Support through change

Whether it’s loss, transition, or uncertainty, therapy can offer steadiness when the ground feels unsteady.

Building more nourishing relationships

with yourself, with others, and in the spaces where you live, work, or gather.

Healing what’s beneath the surface

Gently exploring experiences, old wounds, or patterns that may still shape how you live and relate today.

Rediscovering what’s been quieted

Slowly reconnecting with parts of you that may have been silenced, hidden, or forgotten, and inviting them back with gentleness.

A Gentle Place to Begin

If you’re not sure where to begin, that’s completely okay. Sometimes, just showing up is the beginning. Therapy with me is not about being told what to do, but about being accompanied with care. It’s about creating a space where you don’t have to perform, explain everything perfectly, or know what you need in advance. I offer a free 50-minute consultation via phone or Zoom so we can get a feel for whether this space feels right for you.
